This cable allows you to use your Cactus V6 or V5 Wireless Flash Transceiver as a wireless shutter release device! A shutter release cable is an ideal device to prevent camera shake when you press the shutter release button. It is a must for night photography or taking photos in Bulb mode.

Simply connect the coiled shutter cable from your camera’s remote control terminal to the V5 transceiver X-Sync Port, and you can wirelessly control the shutter of your camera. To use the V5s as a flash trigger and camera trigger simultaneously you must have two complete sets of V5 transceivers set on a different channels. This means you are running the shutter release and wireless flash systems in parallel, so a total of 4 V5s is needed to perform both functions simultaneously. Neither set should be set on channel 1 as flash and shutter must be triggered at different times.
